In addition to the all-time classic hit, Ufa Wa Mtedza, ("Peanut Flour in Your Child's Corn Mush") there are more of Jack's songs below. For the Ufa song, click on the blue text to the left. It is a large file and will take a few moments to launch, especially, if you are using a dial up modem. The amazing thing about this Public Health Song is it became the most popular song in Malawi, played on the only radio station in the country. It remained the # 1 hit song in the country for three and one half years. How's that for a little ditty about enhancing your child's baby porridge. Amazing.
Here is a link to Jack's recent presentation to the School of Public Health at the University of North Carolina, just click HERE. Be patient, as it a few moments to launch this video. While it just over one hour in length, it is totally worth the time to view it.
The presentation lasts just over an hour but it is great and well worth the time. Once the small window pops up, click on the Full Screen display, as the picture quality is perfect.
Here is the collection of Jack Allison's recent CD Fund Raiser for AIDS Research, Support and Assistance.

Jack Allison is the best-known singer/composer of "music with a message" in Malawi. He was a Peace Corps volunteer in that Central African country in 1966-69 when he produced UFA WA MTEDZA, arguably the most popular song ever recorded in Chichewa and played repeatedly on Radio Malawi.
In 1994, he was invited to return to Malawi to spearhead an AIDS Education Prevention Programme, sponsored by Project HOPE, with support from USAID, Peace Corps, FHI, PSI and Friends of Malawi.
